Coronavisus Notice for Election Day

Hi All

I wanted to thank several residents of the Town of Humboldt who recently stepped up to help me out for the upcoming election.

Being unable to find appropriate cleaning supplies is a common occurrence but due to the generosity of Nancy Hendricks and Dan Theys, I have clorax wipes and toweling to use for election day.

Please thank them, too, when you see them next !

I know this will only go out to a few of the Town’s residents, but wanted to let as many as I could know – at this time, the April 7th election is still going to happen. I will be implementing several measures to ensure we keep the poll workers and you all as healthy as possible.

1. Please do not congregate in the Town hall on the day of election – vote and leave!

2. Enter in the front door and exit out the side door.

3. We will have “clean pens and dirty pens” baskets – take a clean pen to vote and drop it in the dirty basket for us to clean them.

4. I have anti bacterial soap on hand and all are free to wash their hands before or after voting.

5. The poll workers will be masked and will not touch your ID’s. Possibly they will wear gloves as well.

6. Leave children at home!!!!

7. If any one wants to vote absentee – go on myvote.wi.gov and submit an application on line- it will be emailed to me and I will send it out the next day. Last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is April 3.

8. Social distancing – I will only be using 3 voting booths- every other one / a worker will wipe the booths down periodically.

Stay safe all and healthy.

Judy Baierl, Clerk Town of Humboldt
